HALIBURTON HIGHLANDS SECONDARY SCHOOL · JULY 2026

THE SUMMER SESSIONS

Growing a love of the game through community, competition, and the fun of getting good at what you do.

For the past two years, we’ve loved the energy of our one-week summer camps, but this July we’re pivoting. Instead of a single-week sprint, we’re moving to evening sessions spread across the entire month.

We wanted to give our athletes the opportunity to take even bigger strides. By spreading the sessions out, we can keep the competitive energy high while giving you the time you need for new skills to become part of your identity. Plus, it means you don't have to choose between a summer job and getting better on the court—you can do both.

On-Court SNEAK PEAK

  • How to build explosive movement and verticality. A quick first step and a high vertical are skills that can be developed, not just gifts you’re born with. Unlock the athleticism that changes how you play.

  • How to become a consistent scorer. Discover the shooting mechanics and finishing package that work best for your body. Build a game where you can reliably score -- even when the pressure is on and the game gets fast.

  • How to dictate tempo and create for your team. Build an unshakeable handle and break down the defense. Learn how to beat your man, draw a second defender, and make the right read to get your team the best shot possible on every possession.

  • How to master the "chess match" of the game. No more "zombies" just going through the motions and running plays. Learn how to use on- and off-ball actions, as well as movement and spacing to manipulate the defense. Stop waiting for the ball and start understanding exactly how to get open and stay one step ahead.

HOW WE TRAIN

Culture first.

We focus on building an environment that brings out the best in everyone. At our sessions, your standard matters more than your skill level. We expect athletes to show up ready to compete and hold their teammates to a high level of effort. That shared energy is what sparks the competition and connections that turn a group of players into a community by the end of the month.

Ground up.

We don't run drills; we build players. Our training is a constant loop between technical breakdown and live application. We dive into the details to help you coordinate your body and become a more dangerous, consistent threat. In live play, we map those skills to real-game reads and identify your gaps—helping you build a unique, creative identity. No "system" players—just athletes who know how to play.

Own the outcome.

Championship teams are led by "creators"—players who take full ownership of their growth. They don’t wait for development to happen; they study those who have solved the problems they’re facing and have the humility and persistence to try new things. This environment is designed to grow that mindset. We provide the ideas and potential solutions, then give you the space to be the primary decision-maker—eventually leading huddles and coaching your own games.

THE GRAND FINALE

UP North 3x3

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8th | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We’re closing out our summer series with a 3x3 tournament at HHSS, open to the entire Muskoka community. In accordance with FIBA standards and our Own the Outcome philosophy, there are no coaches allowed on the court. This is the ultimate test of what you’ve been building throughout July — players make the calls, substitutions, and adjustments.
